The Peak District.

This week, I went with some of my friends to camp in the Peak District. It is a short drive from Manchester full of beautiful green rolling hills, sheep and just some amazing picturesque scenery. We camped at a farm surrounded by sheep (camping in the States is pretty different). It was really fun to get out, hike, explore and have a great time.

Pitching the tent at the farm!
The warmest I have ever seen England. It was a dream!

The Peak District has some beautiful trails. We spent most of our time exploring!
A lot of the trails required stepping over the styles in the rock walls. Styles are the names for the built-in stairs and gaps that allow you to go from section to section.
This was the end of an hour hike. We had to go down this hill to get to the pub for dinner. It was pretty steep!

We chose to forego the big hill in the previous picture on the way back and walked through
this quarry from centuries ago. Ruins of an old castle sit atop the quarry.

Enjoying the view

This is like the Ensign Peak of the Peak District. Fun little hike with beautiful views!
